Hello, 2025! Let's try this again.

For years, I've struggled with the goal of “writing more.” I often feel that my topics aren't relevant enough, maybe because the topic is too popular (hi, Compose) or it's already covered by “better” articles, books and videos, which is a very subjective reason to not write your thoughts about things.

I've been talking about Android and Kotlin for quite some time, but mostly through technical talks, podcasts and interviews, never through proper article writing.

It's a cliché, but I want to change that, for real.

Instead of blatantly covering “what's new” content after a major release or something, I plan to write more about things I'm currently working on, studying or thinking about. In the past 6 years, I've worked on Android projects with very interesting integrations, such as smart bikes, cameras and printers, and I have a feeling that pushing stuff to production usually brings us good stories to tell.

Besides that, since I moved to The Netherlands, I learned to think about work in a different way, which was quite shocking, given that most of my career was in Brazil and I feel that they tend to think about work in a way that's way more intense and unbalanced than here, so I'm keen to write about that as well.

Let's see how it goes, I might write just this post, but I feel that the “spark” about writing my thinking out of my mind is there I hope to make it happen.

Tchau! 👋
